DAVAO DAY April 23-24 2022

DAVAO DAY April 23-24 2022
This was my first airplane ride since the pandemic happened.  I would say I am more excited than nervous.  I am fully vaccinated with a booster, masked (KN95) and equipped with alcohol infused with Thieves in a trigger spray bottle, soap in my purse for use after the toilet visits and of course PRAYERS FOR OUR SAFETY with these I am confident that I will be safe from getting infected (still keeping my fingers crossed).

Airport at 6:15am (Airport at 6:15am)

I am flying with my good friend Candice Ang.  Prior to joining Young Living, we have not connected in any sorts but our kids go to the same school. We even have kids (2) who are in the same batch but never been classmates.

When I joined Young Living in 2017,  Candice became one of my closest friends. If there is one person I talk to everyday, it’s Candice! Haha! We talk about EVERYTHING!  Oppas, restos, showbiz, kids, EVERYTHING and of course, OILS and our YL community. That’s the reason for this trip, to connect with our members in the south!  Candice is truly a Karen, a kaladKAREN! That’s why we click in an instant! Hahha

Our Crazy Oily Asians twinning shirts.

We got an early flight (8:15am) so we have to be at the airport by 6am.  We checked in online and just hand carried our stuff.  Hand carry max weight is 7kg we maximized it because we are carrying bottles of essential oils and DIY paraphernalia.  We were twinning in our Crazy Oily Asians shirts and we want to be noticed! The flight was not full, there are rows that are vacant.  We arrived Davao at 10-ish. There’s no delay and the flight was smooth.

It was my first time in Davao City! Haha Our first stop, YOUNG LIVING DAVAO EXPERIENCE CENTER! It’s conveniently located at The Shops at Azuela Cove.  It’s just 15 minutes car drive from the airport.

The YL Davao Experience Center is a BEAUTY!!  We were greeted by Manuel (receptionist and also our official photographer) and Julian (security guard) upon entry.  You can immediately smell the oils that they are diffusing!   Elemi, Frankincense, Lavender basta, it’s welcoming! The Davao EC combines Young Living as an international company yet a very nice touch of Mindanao.  The over all design is meticulously thought out. KUDOS to Young Living Philippines. It is well-lit and the view from all glass windows are very refreshing, a lot of trees (even in the parking area).  The interior is also decorated with plants and natural materials and accents that are local in Mindanao.  The furnitures used are also natural and cozy.  There are DIY tables that are free to use, you can experience every oil that is available in our market!  You can truly feel that you are in resort when you enter the Experience Center.

 refreshing view from the window.
This is the conference room where you can do meetings, classes and workshops.  The T’nalak fabric on the chairs are very attractive!!

We were then greeted by Gladys, YL Davao EC Member Services Manager, with all smiles, she approached us saying “I love your shirts! I remember ladies wearing the same shirts!”  Fannie and Jenny wore the same shirts when YL Davao EC opened in March.  Yay!! We were noticed!  Gladys said Candice look very familiar and she remembered seeing her in the Recognition Wall!  Yes!! Candice Ang is our gem, she is a Diamond! :)

Our obligatory photo at the Young Living photo wall with my Diamond Leader, Candice Ang.

I have a pending pick up at YL BGC EC which I was not able to get because of my hectic schedule.   I decided to pick it up in DAVAO instead!  Since I didn’t order Ningxia Red this month, it can easily fit in my bag so I processed the pick up in DAVAO!

The pick up process was EASY!!! Just scan the QR code found on Julian’s table, then fill up the form.  They will always be there to assist you when you need help.  Wait for your queue to be called, and VOILA! Your order will be ready!!   EJ from Member Services assisted me with my order and pick up!!

This is my queue, apparently I am  first for that day.

 EJ releasing my order.

After visiting the Experience Center, we went to our hotel and rested for a while to get ready for our 1pm to 5pm meet and greet + class + make and take!  Fannie, Rhobie, Jenny and Nanay greeted us in the place they rented.  They brought lunch and snacks and SUHA!

Our generous and beautiful hosts. (L-R: (Honey, Candice) Jenny, Fannie, Rhobie, Nanay)

Our guests came we greeted everyone!  We started our class around 1:30 and ended around 4pm.  There are also sharing of their oil experiences and finally we invited everyone to go to the Experience Center!  Happy that our venue/hotel is a 5minute walk to the EC.   This is where i personally met and talk to old and new members.  Our communication is usually thru messaging and email, now there is a face to Cecile, Joie, Hunny, Joseph, Barbz, Maria, Yoshi, Nel, Perlita, Mia, Ivy…. This is BLISS!
